4 London areas you can take a break in

These places are sure to calm your mind

Shoreditch Park

Shoreditch is typically associated with hipsters, but Shoreditch Park is a fantastic place to hang out regardless. Sandwiched between Old Street and Hoxton station, the park is easily accessible for those working in the surrounding areas. Come an evening, the space is full of runners - I am indeed one of those - and children taking part in an array of sporting activities.

This is a 40-acre garden which is nestled in a Victorian woodland. Sounds cute, right! Richmond Park as a whole is a great spot to get some fresh air, but ensure you visit Isabella Plantation next time you go. The closest station to the botanical garden is Norbiton.

Regents Park

Yes, this is an obvious choice but it is still one of our favourite green spaces in London. There is ample to explore here and lots to take in. Now the weather is a little warmer, why not take a break from your office during your lunch time and perch on a bench here to watch the world go by.

Spa Fields

Another unlikely contender but it does the job. Come lunch times from Spring onwards, you will find plenty of workers chilling out in the park which is split into two halves. The close proximity to plenty of cafes and shops means that you can grab something to eat too - just remember to take something to sit on as the benches are limited and can get full very quickly. Exmouth Market is also famous for its street food stalls, so try and sample those!
