Veja is there to save the environment too

The number of vegan Vega shoes are skyrocketing in the UK is increasing. According to research by the Vegan Society, 600,000 people in the UK are now vegan.
With so many people now vegan, companies have a massive market to explore but
Veja has been around for some time.
Since its launch in 2004, Veja has always prided itself on using eco-friendly materials,
sustainable practices and transparent operations.
It has become particularly famed for its range of vegan footwear which have found their
way on to celebrity feet, including Meghan Markle.
With its distinctive ‘V’ branding, the sneakers are made from organic cotton, vegetable
tanned leather and recycled plastic bottles. The trainers are simple and chic, as well as super
comfortable.
The BBC's ‘Designed’ section recently published a deep and scathing article into the sneaker
industry. While Nike, Adidas and other major brands came under fire, Veja was praised for
its positive practices.
The brand has recently launched a flagship store in New York, showing how much its sustainable and eco-friendly ethos has impacted on the public, with the brand having sold
4.5 million pairs of trainers by the end of 2019 in the US alone.
